Author: Mary Elizabeth Fraser Tytler (1851–1934)

Biography: Mary Elizabeth Fraser Tytler was born on 28 June 1851 in Edinburgh, the daughter of James Stuart Fraser Tytler, a professor of conveyancing and writer to the signet, and his wife Mary Elizabeth (née Blair). Besides writing three novels, nothing has been discovered about her subsequent life. She never married and died on 5 February 1934 in Humbie, Scotland.
