Author: Anna Maria Hopton (1821–1857)

Biography: Anna Maria Hopton was born in 1821 in Herefordshire, the daughter of the Rev. John Hopton of Canon Frome Court. She never married. Before her early death on 14 June 1857, she wrote three religious novels, the last being published posthumously. The following year, a memoir of her life was published.
