Author: Herbert Cadett (1869–1907)

Biography: Herbert Tucker Edward Cadett was born in 1869 in Belvedere, Kent, the son of Thomas Cadett and his wife Emma. His father had the interesting occupation of skating rink proprietor in Camberwell. After working for his father, Cadett struck out on his own as a journalist, working for a long time on the Sun. He co-wrote a collection of stories with Boyle Lawrence and wrote a novel himself The Adventures of a Journalist (1900). In 1896, he married Letitia Elizabeth Murray. He died on 1 February 1907 in London.
