Author: Marwood Tucker (1836–1918)

Biography: Marwood Tucker was born on 26 March 1836 in Honiton, Devon, the son of the Rev. Marwood Tucker and his wife Ann (née Nagle). He was educated at Westminster School before earning a B.A. and M.A. from Exeter College, Oxford. He was called to the bar and worked as secretary to several politicians. He married twice: first to Margaret Bircham and second to Etheldreda Beresford Hope. Tucker wrote the novel Michael Tresidder (1872), published anonymously. He died in 1918 in Grahamstown, South Africa.
