Biography: Marie Jane Law was born in 1864, the daughter of Thomas Charles Law. She wrote the novel Pierce Moran (1893) and another serialized novel in 1897. In 1895, she married physician Owen Fenner Joynson in Burnley. She died in 1914 in Padiham after a long illness.
