Biography: Marie M. Sadleir was born around 1836 in south London, the daughter of composer Sydney Nelson. Her younger sister was the actress Carry Nelson (died 1916). With her family, she traveled and performed around the world. Otherwise her life cannot be traced. By the 1890s, she was a widow with one surviving child. Under the pseudonym "A Boy in Belgravia," she wrote a satire Lightest London (1892). She followed with two more novels under her own name. She was living in 1911, but her death cannot be traced.
