Biography: Charles Marshall was an author and traveler. His early life cannot be traced. Under the pseudonym "Heraclitus Grey," he wrote several novels. In addition he was a contributor to several periodicals. While on a trip around the world via America, China, Japan, and India, he died of gastric fever on 4 August 1871 on route in the Red Sea.
