Author: William Spink (1838–1922)

Biography: William Spink was born on 26 July 1838 in Arbroath, Scotland, the son of merchant Charles Spink and his wife Charlotte (née Potter). He studied for the law and became a solicitor in the Supreme Courts of Scotland. He found time to write drama and fiction. He never married. Spink died on 26 January 1922 in Edinburgh.
