Biography: Thomasina Ann Garvey was born in 1856 in London. Her early life cannot be traced. In the 1881 census, she lived with two sisters in London as a teacher of music. By the next decade, she turned to writing where she contributed to several magazines including Punch and wrote two novels. In the early twentieth century, there is some evidence she performed on stage. Garvey died in 1947.
