Author: Ernest Richard Seymour (1823–1864)

Biography: Ernest Richard Seymour was born in 1823, the eldest son of physician James Edward Seymour of Berkeley Square, London. He attended Shrewsbury School and Oriel College, Oxford before being called to the bar in 1846. He practiced on the Western Circuit for many years until he turned to literature. He died on 22 November 1864.
