Author: William Oak Rhind (1847–1931)
Biography: William Oak Rhind was born on 7 June 1847 in Brompton, the eldest son of educator Charles Rhind. The family moved often during his childhood as his father took positions teaching the deaf and dumb in Wales, Scotland, and London. In 1873, he married Hannah Hardwick in Niagara, Canada, and the couple had several children. Rhind became a schoolmaster in Thanet. In addition to his duties, he wrote the single historical novel. He died on 10 January 1931 in Broadstairs.
