Biography: Charlotte Baker was born around 1821 in London. Her early life cannot be traced but she was the wife of Henry Baker. In the 1860s, she was advertising copies of a Christmas carol "When the Wise Men Saw the Star" for sale from her home on Farm Lane, New Road, Hammersmith. In 1871, she published a novel Goldthorne Hall under the pseudonym "Epine D'Or" and signed the preface from St. Albans. In the 1881 census, she is a widow living in Dartford, Kent. Thereafter, her life cannot be traced.
