Biography: Elizabeth Editha Pigot was born on 2 April 1812 in Byley, the youngest daughter of Peter Wettenhall and his wife Frances (née Ravenscroft). In 1843, she married Henry Bulkeley and was widowed a few years later. In 1855, she remarried clergyman Henry Septimus Pigot, the vicar of Horwich. During her married life, she penned the single work of fiction Jenny Booth (1867). She died on 21 May 1880 in Horwich near Bolton.
