Author: Edmund Routledge (1843–1899)

Biography: Edmund Routledge was born in 1843 in London, the second son of publisher George Routledge. He entered his father's business and eventually became a partner until his death. In addition to his duties, he edited Every Boy's Magazine and wrote several books including fiction. He stood unsuccessfully for parliament three times but did serve as an alderman for London. He married and had five children. He on 25 August 1899 in Westminster.
