Biography: Charles Herbert Mansfield was born in 1864 in Islington, the son of journalist Charles E. Mansfield and his wife Maria. He and his younger brother Walter E. Mansfield (1870–1916) followed their father into journalism. Collectively, under the pseudonym "Huan Mee," the brothers wrote short fiction and novels beginning in the 1890s. Charles married and his son Harold also became a journalist. He died on 19 June 1930 in London.
