Biography: Florence Elizabeth Foster was born on 5 January 1869 in Hilston, the daugher of clergyman William Foster and his wife Hannah. She was the younger sister of novelist Catherine Storr Foster. Her father died when she was young and thereafter she lived with her widowed mother or other relative. In the 1890s, sometimes in combination with her sister, she began writing fiction. She died on 20 July 1959 in Burleigh.
