Author: Sir William Nevill Montgomerie Geary (1859–1944)

Biography: William Nevill Montgomerie Geary was born in 1859, the only son of Sir Francis Geary, 4th baronet, and his second wife Fanny Prior. He attended Eton and Oxford University graduating with a B.A. and an M.A. in 1886. Called to the bar in 1884. He succeeded to his father's title in 1895. Geary served as the attorney-general to the Gold Coast from 1895 to 1897. He wrote several legal works and one novel, A Lawyer's Wife (1896). He died in 1944.
