Biography: Euphemia Emily Georgiana Bussell was born in 1843 in Chard, Somerset, the daughter of clergyman William J. Bussell. Her mother died during her childhood and she lived much of her life with her father and her sisters in Scotland and Hampshire. In middle age, she wrote two novels and contributed to magazines such as the Monthly Packet. Interestingly, the 1901 census has her working as a "lady's companion" in Bournemouth. She never married and died on 11 April 1907.
